“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12.
If only we could grasp the full depth of this verse. I at times am so saddened by how desensitized I at times get to the word of God. We get in the habit of playing church church rather than treating our time with God as a time to open our eyes to his truths. The more I read the Bible, the more this war becomes real to me. The more I study, the more I realize that something much bigger than most people know about it waging all around them constantly. This earth truly is not our home. Yet we as believers in Christ have become so comfortable here.
It is so easily forgotten that we are currently residing on enemy territory. We are in the middle of a spiritual war as the verse in Epehsians so boldly points out. We are to be soilders of Christ, but instead we end up looking more and more like our enemy. Instead of participating in this eternal battle along side our king, we boil our religion down to some passages of scripture that make us feel good as we comfortably live out our lives.
Many Christians look exactly like the world. They watch the same entertainment as the world, listen to the same music, walk the same, talk the same, dress the same, and at the end of the day, claim that the difference in them and the world is that they believe in Jesus. In the Bible, James tells us even the demons believe in Christ. And they have more of a reverence for him than we do!! The bible says they tremble at the mention of his great name. When was the last time you felt in that much awe of Jesus? When was the last time I myself was that awe struck at the mention of our Lord?
These are the thoughts that I have wrestled with for the past few days. And I tell our youth this almost every time we meet….it has to become real to them. You can say you believe in Christ. Thats great!! But what makes our belief any different from Satan and his demons belief in Christ? The difference is it is very real to them. Because they are actively and have always been soldiers in this spiritual war, while many Christians have been lulled to sleep in their faith. And many times I believe we fall into the trap of not knowing who our enemy truly is.
Think about something. If you were to go to war, and had no idea of who your enemy was….how he disguised himself, the places he had infiltrated, how he works in general, do you think you would be effective in winning the war? You would get destroyed! Satan is winning the war against many Christians because we do not know our enemy and do not rightly see the war for what it really is. And when you start to see this war, and your eyes are opened to the reality of this spiritual battle, thats when God become more real than ever in your life.
Satan is the God of this world. And he has left his mark…his brand….all over the place. But many of us dont see it. Lets start with something most of us think of as innocent. What is the number one organization in this world that caters to kids of all ages for fun and entertainment. Disney! To this day, when I think of movies for my kids, I think of Disney. But as I began researching the ways of Satan and his influence in this world, one of the places I realized he has infiltrated is something totally innocent in our eyes. Disney.
A little fact about Disney that many overlook is that it is a part of the Hollywood machine. And Hollywood is very liberal in its views on everything from sex to how our nation should raise our kids. Hollywood is obsessed with two things….image and sex. Ironically enough, these are two of Satans favorite tools to pull people away from Christ as well. So is it a coincidence that Satan and Hollywood have these two things in common? Or is it a tactic from the enemy guised as innocent entertainment aimed at giving subliminal messages and desensitising Americans?
Still doubting Disney’s friendship with Satan? Just check out some of their movies! In the movie Narnia, Lucys friend the Faun was portrayed as a pretty good fellow. But he bears a very striking resemblance to a Satanic image in Pan. In mythology, Pan was the God of fertility. The two characters are identical.

This is not a singular example of a Disney sleight of hand. Do some research into Disney and these type of “coincidences” and you will see much deeper perversions that are embedded into their movies. Also take into account the number of Satan, 666. Have you ever looked really closely at the Disney logo?
At the end of the day, could all of this simply be a big misunderstanding? Could it really be coincidences? Possibly. Or could it be that Satans plan to weave his way into modern culture has worked so well, that we justify the devils influence because we put more faith in what the world has created than what God has warned of about?
Im not out to bash Disney in this blog. Im simply pointing out the extreme hold Satan has on our world and we are blind to it because again, we dont know our enemy. Lets change direction for a second. In the book of Revelation, the Bible warns of us the end of times where a governmental “New World Order” will be set in place and led by the anti Christ. One of the signs of this New World Order is the coming of a unified one world currency.
In the garden of Eden, the Serpent promised Adam and Eve that their eyes would “be opened” if they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The key word in this passage is “eyes”, which in Hebrew can be translated “knowledge.” “Opened” can be translated “broadened.” What the Serpent promised Adam and Eve was that knowledge would be broadened if they ate of the forbidden fruit.
But the most foreboding aspect of this Scripture emerges from the fact that the Hebrew word for “eyes” is not plural, but singular. What the Serpent actually told Adam and Eve was that their “eye” would be broadened by knowledge.
The “eye” that Scripture wants us to consider is not the physical organ of sight, but the eye of the mind or the soul. This singular “eye” is called the “third eye” of clairvoyance in the Hindu religion, the eye of Osiris in Egypt, and “The All Seeing Eye” in a current world wide lodge/club organization called The Freemasonry.
The all-seeing eye is the elite’s favorite symbol. It represents the eye of Satan seeing all and is usually atop a pyramid, the symbol for a top-down command and control system of compartmentalization. It represents the coming New World Order and it is a wink to the coming Anti Christ. It is also represented by people today making a pyramid shape with their hands or holding a circle over or covering one eye, sort of like a hand signal of alligence. Here are some places you may have seen this symbol of the all seeing eye…AKA…The New World Order…..

And look at this next picture below…What is famous rapper Jay-Z doing wearing a shirt that says, “Do What Thou Wilt”. Have you ever heard that saying? Do you know who coined the phrase? Famous occultist Allister Crowley who was an outspoken Satanist. Later Anton Levay who wrote the Satanic Bible used this quote as one of the key scriptures in his Satanic Bible. The key verse from the Satanic Bible is basically, “Do whatever you want.” How many movie and songs today send that very message?
These are just a few of the signs that the devil is working and really is the God of this world. Again, we can chalk these impressions up to coincidence, or we can believe in the warnings God gave to us. It would be like being in a burning house, smelling the smoke, and saying, “Maybe the smell of smoke is just something that is coincedence….the house couldnt really be one fire.” We say the same when the devil shows himself to us.
We keep saying to ourselves, “He cant really be that real! He cant really be that much in the world. I mean I believe the bible, but come on, seriously?”
Its just Hollywood. Its just Disney. Its just the way our world is. It couldnt possibly be Satan, could it? Read the Bible. Look at the warnings in Revelation. Look at the prophesies of the last days. Look at the descriptions of how Satan works. And compare them to the world today. You will see the same signature of our enemy in the world today as you see in scripture. He’s here on this earth now. And he is winning souls from Christ by way of deception. We dont know our enemy. Sadly he is a friend to us in todays society. He is the wolf in sheeps clothing that Christ warned us about in Matthew.
The Bible reveals the deep truth that we as Christians are to become “changed” (2 Corinthians 3:18). In other words, what we watch affects us. In the last ten years, Hollywood has produced a sizable array of Witchcraft shows, sex themed shows, and shows that make a villain character out to cool, savvy, sexy, adventurous and exciting….just like the anti Christ.
Sceptics counter, “So what? It’s just Hollywood fun and fiction. Its just a movie. Its just a tv show. It’s not real.” While it is true that most of what is portrayed isn’t true to life, the fact is, this doesn’t make any difference. Impressions are being made on young minds, the idea of becoming a ‘witch’ or ‘wizard’ is made enticing, sexual perversion is made to seem hip and normal, and what God labeled evil is now watered down to “innocent entertainment.”
Lacy and I were starting to like a certain television show a few months ago that seemed really innocent. In fact, it was based around little fairy tales! You may know just the show Im talking about. But soon, we realized that the main female character was actually after the affections of a married man in the show. And the married man was thinking of leaving his wife. The way the show was portrayed, you found yourself almost rooting for their marriage to fall apart, and then the female lead and her love interest could live happily ever after. Rooting for adultrey….rooting for betrayal in marriage….thats how sick and twisted our society has become under Satans influence. And we dont even realize it because we dont know our enemy.
The signs of Satans grip on society are all around us. The signs of biblical prophesy coming true are all over! Yet there are many who would rather live in denial of these signs. Maybe its because they are more in love with the world Satan has created than the world God intended it to be. Or maybe they claim to be Christians, but at the end of the day, they really dont believe what they profess to believe.
There is a real war going on all around us. And we are in it. We all have to choose a side. And to not choose a side is to choose the wrong side. How aware are you of Satans influence on this world? It has to become real to you before you can be effective in the battle.

How real is God’s word to you? When you place our world next to scripture and research our enemy Satan, it becomes impossible to ignore just how very real and urgent this faith we live should be.
